A Man and a Woman
"Today I am a man,"
Alexander proclaimed at thirteen,
"And here's my sister Anne.
I affirm she's no longer Eugene."
A Man and a Woman is part of the poem series Felicitations by Felicia Nimue Ackerman. Ackerman is a professor of philosophy at Brown University and has had over 200 poems published in a wide range of places. We are lucky to get to have a few of them published right here at Options Magazine.
