Be a Community Health Hero at This Weekend’s AIDS Run/Walk for Life

Updated: Apr 2, 2021

AIDS Project Rhode Island is gearing up for a virtual AIDS Run/Walk for Life in honor of its 35th anniversary. Taking place over the weekend of Oct. 3 & 4, participants can choose their own 5K route by using the free Runkeeper app (www.runkeeper.com) and posting photos to APRI’s social media pages (@AIDSProjectRI on Facebook and Twitter, or @hello_apri on Instagram).

APRI will also host a Facebook Live event Monday, Oct.5, at 12 p.m. to say thank you and to honor this year’s recipient of its Hope Harris Memorial Award: Congressman David Cicilline. Register today at www.runwalkforlife.org. There is no fee to sign up a team or fundraise. Solo runners/walkers can register for $35 or $50, which includes an exclusive event T-shirt. Invite friends and family to join you outdoors and do good for those in Rhode Island living with, affected by, and at risk for HIV.
