Mon. 7-Sat. 12  The Black Lavender Experience 2014, Rites and Reason Theater, Brown University. Keynote speaker: E. Patrick Johnson, author of Sweet Tea: Black Gay Men of the South, scholar/artist, Professor of Performance Studies and African American Studies at Northwestern University. Black Lavender will feature films and talks, including a round table discussion of LGBTQ rights in Uganda, that will further extend dialogues about experiences of African diasporic queer identifying peoples.
